I've been working with Chris for about 9 months as of this review, and I only have positive things to say. I first came to USI because I'd never been taught how to properly lift weights, and in an effort to improve my overall fitness and health, I thought working with a personal strength coach was the best place to start. The first thing you will notice about Chris is his dedication to his craft, shortly followed by his want to help people be the best version of themselves. When Chris isn't training at his gym or spending time with his family, he has his head in a book, is watching or listening to interviews or talks online, or reading articles the ensure he is always working with the best information available. After all, science is an ever-evolving subject and we want the biggest bang for our buck, right? In the gym, Chris is attentive to your needs, solicits feedback to ensure you're training program fits your goals and accounts for any limitations (e.g. injuries), and strives to keep you motivated. I'm a very inquisitive person myself, and I don't think I've asked Chris a questions he hasn't been able to answer. We've talked about topics ranging from biology and body mechanics, all the way to dietary needs and mental wellness; Chris is a fountain of knowledge just waiting to be tapped. He has motivated me beyond what any friend, trainer, or coach has ever been able to accomplish. If you're willing to put in the time and effort, he will be there with you every step (rep) of the way to help you reach your goals.
